Senior Project Manager

About the position

Under limited guidance, organizes and manages the design and development of assigned products, ensuring completion within established specifications, schedules, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Guides and mentors less experienced program managers on best practices and problem resolution.

- Reviews project plans and collaborates with management to define project objectives and responsibilities.

- Establishes project schedules by analyzing plans and calculating timelines.

- Works with marketing to define product requirements and collaborates with engineering to allocate resources.

- Monitors project plans, controls changes, and proposes solutions for budget issues.

- Advocates for the design team and resolves manufacturing, technology, and design challenges.

- Facilitates activities to meet project milestones and maintains documentation.

- Communicates with stakeholders and prepares status reports to recommend action for improvement.

- Develops design qualification and testing plans, coordinating with production for successful product transfer.

- Conducts training for customer service on new products and evaluates project success to drive improvements.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing engineering projects, costs, timelines, and resources.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Advanced technical knowledge in relevant product technologies and project management skills.

- Strong leadership and communication skills to direct teams and manage projects effectively.

- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and proactively troubleshoot problems throughout the project lifecycle.
